We have (had) something similar to this in the US called the M113 that went back to Vietnam War days. It was known as a "tracked coffin" because it was so vulnerable to enemy fire. It was made of aluminum instead of steel. We sold quite a few of them to Iraq in their war with Iran, but then wound up having to destroy them in OIF back in 2003. The Bradley's made very light work of them. Abrams tanks would not even bother with them, they were a waste of ammunition.
